Abstract
Provides an overview of sustainability concerns and process of large scale projects to non-engineering or construction specialists. Reviews current sustainable large scale projects, the roles team members hold, and design approaches, including alternative development and financing structures. Also considers the challenges and opportunities of sustainability within infrastructural systems, such as those for energy, water, and waste. Includes a discussion of the Zofnass Environmental Evaluation Methodology guidelines to help improve infrastructure design, engineering, and construction.
