Abstract
Gives guidance to specifiers and users of timber in the area broadly described as landscape architecture; i.e. wood used outdoors e.g. bridges, towers, poles etc. but excluding habitable buildings. Looking at specifying suitable species, desired service life, wear and tear, moisture in wood in service and finishing and detailing.
