Abstract

Provides advice to take into account the impact of future alternative nitrogen dioxide (NO2) projections.

Document History

Interim Advice Notes (IANs) are issued by the Highways Agency from time to time. They contain specific Guidance, which shall only be used in connection with works on motorways and trunk roads in England, subject to any specific implementation instructions contained within an IAN. Whilst IANs must be read in conjunction with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW) for the above works, and may incorporate amendments or additions to documents in these manuals, they are not part of the DMRB or MCHW. Provides supplementary guidance for DMRB Volume 11, Section 3, Part 1 (HA 207/07). The spreadsheet to support the implementation of this IAN is not available via The Construction Information Service. Revision 1 June 2013 - to improve clarity on presentation of the air quality results and supporting discussion. Revision 3 November 2013 - includes amendment issued in April 2013 and November 2013.
