Abstract
To enable HA projects to undertake and report on the risk of a scheme of being non-compliant with the EU directive on ambient air quality (2008/50/EC) and consequently provide advice to decision makers.
Document History
Superseded by LA 105 Air quality (formerly HA 207/07, IAN 170/12, IAN 174/13, IAN 175/13, part of IAN 185/15) (HE, 2019). Interim Advice Notes (IANs) are issued by the Highways Agency from time to time. They contain specific Guidance, which shall only be used in connection with works on motorways and trunk roads in England, subject to any specific implementation instructions contained within an IAN. Whilst IANs must be read in conjunction with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW) for the above works, and may incorporate amendments or additions to documents in these manuals, they are not part of the DMRB or MCHW. Provides supplementary guidance for DMRB Volume 11, Section 3, Part 1 (HA 207/07). The accompanying spreadsheet is not available via The Construction Information Service.
