Abstract

Explains the approach taken to identifying consultation bodies to be notified by the Secretary of State under Regulation 9 of The Infrastructure Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2009 and where relevant, consulted on the scope of the Environmental Statement (ES) under Regulation 8 of those regulations.

Superseded by version 6, June 2015. Supersedes version 4, May 2012 (PINS, 2013). Under the Localism Act 2011, the IPC is abolished with its work being transferred to the National Infrastructure Directorate, created within the Planning Inspectorate. Consequently, all IPC advice notes have been republished by the Planning Inspectorate.
