Abstract
Aims to assist planning authorities in complying with the Data Protection Act 1998, when publishing information online.

This guidance has not been updated to reflect changes in Data Protection legislation (the General Data Protection Regulations) that came into force in May 2018. The Scottish Government is currently in the process of reviewing the guidance. Supersedes paragraphs 23 to 47 of PAN 70: Electronic planning service delivery (updated 2008) (SEDD, 2004); and Planning information online - data protection guidance for planning authorities. 1st edition (Scottish Government, 2008). Published in conjunction with the Information Commissioner's Office and Heads of Planning Scotland.
