Abstract
The toxicological basis and approaches to deriving Health Criteria Values that serve as benchmarks for protecting human health. In conjunction with chemical exposure modelling methods, these Health Criteria Values enable the derivation of Soil Guideline Values and may be used in the overall assessment of risks to human health from land contamination.
