Abstract
Argues for the need to shift to a system of sustainable transport to reduce climate change pressures and enhance urban quality of life. Explores new methods of how transport should be governed across dispersed and concentrated cities, covering in particular: new techniques for assessing transport needs; ways of improving childhood mobility; guidelines for mobilising political ideas; and ways in which knowledge in the sector can be shared.
