Abstract
Presents key data and expert opinions on the toxicology and intake of cadmium. It aims to derive an oral tolerable daily intake (TDI) and an inhalation Index Dose, which in turn are needed to derive Soil Guideline Values (SGVs) for cadmium i.e. concentrations of cadmium in soil that will pose no significant threat to health.
