Document History
This document is considered to be a first generation Eurocode and is the applicable standard for building and civil engineering works constructed in the UK. A period now exists to prepare for the transition between first and second generation Eurocodes. First generation Eurocodes will be withdrawn by BSI on 30 March 2028 and will be replaced by second generation Eurocodes. Supersedes BS EN 1995-1-1:2004+A1:2008, DD ENV 1995-1-1:1994 and BS 5268-3:2006. Amendment 16499 dated 31 July 2006 is Corrigendum No.1 - Implementation of CEN corrigendum June 2006. Modifications to 6.5.2, 8.2.2, 8.3.1.1 and 8.3.1.2. Amendment dated 31 January 2009 - Implementation of CEN amendment A1:2008. Amendment dated 31 May 2014 - Implementation of CEN amendment A2:2014. Where a normative part of this EN allows for a choice to be made at the national level, the range and possible choice will be given in the normative text, and a note will qualify it as a Nationally Determined Parameter (NDP). NDPs can be a specific value for a factor, a specific level or class, a particular method or a particular application rule if several are proposed in the EN. To enable BS EN 1995-1-1:2004+A2:2014 to be used in the UK the latest version of the NA to this Standard containing these NDPs should also be used. At the time of publication, it is NA to BS EN 1995-1-1:2004+A1:2008.
