Provides general guidance on the provisions of PUWER 98 for work equipment, and specifically Mobile Work Equipment, Self-Propelled Work Equipment and Remote controlled self-propelled mobile work equipment. Other parts of Volume D offer more detailed guidance.

Second edition: Construction health and safety manual published 2014, with amendments issued: June and December 2014, June and December 2015, June and December 2016, June and December 2017, June and December 2018, June and December 2019, June and December 2020 and June 2021. Since original publication in 2014 there have been no amendments issued for this section so far.
