Abstract
Provides guidance in England to Mobile Network Operators, their agents and contractors, and local planning authorities, aiming to ensure that the Government’s objective of supporting high quality communications infrastructure is achieved in a timely manner, but in a way that also minimises the potential impact that can be associated with such development. Also aims to make sure that appropriate engagement takes place with local communities and other interested parties. Applies to all forms of wireless development, but very obviously is most relevant to proposals for new masts or base stations and significant additions or extensions to existing sites.
