Highlights areas under investigation by the Evolution Group for EN 1993-1-5 relating to the application of a partial material factor when using the effective width method of EN 1993-1-5, with an interim recommendation being suggested. Another area under consideration is the interaction between moment and shear when the webs have longitudinal stiffeners.
