Abstract
The significance of embodied carbon in the lifecycle of a building; how it is calculated and reported; and the impacts of cradle to gate or cradle to cradle approaches. End of life datasets, whole life embodied carbon data for common framing materials and the carbon footprint tool for buildings are explored.
