Abstract
Gives a range of test methods for characterising the fatigue of bituminous mixtures, including bending tests ( two-point, 3-point and 4-point) and direct and indirect tensile tests. The tests are performed on compacted bituminous material samples under a sinusoidal loading or other controlled loading, using different types of specimens and supports. The results should give a ranking on the basis of resistance to fatigue, a performance guide, and data for estimating structural behaviour.
