Abstract
Provides advice on the planning process for dealing with proposals for nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs). Gives detailed advice on how application documents should be prepared, organised and submitted to the Planning Inspectorate.
Document History
Superseded by version 7, February 2016 (PINS, 2016). Supersedes version 4, June 2012 (PINS, 2012). This advice note is accompanied by an appendix in the form of an Excel table which is not available on The Construction Information Service. Under the Localism Act 2011, the IPC is abolished with its work being transferred to the National Infrastructure Directorate, created within the Planning Inspectorate. Consequently, all IPC advice notes have been republished by the Planning Inspectorate.
