Abstract
Advises on mapping underground assets using radio frequency identification (RFID) marker tags to locate and identify buried pipes and cables. These can be fixed to assets either at installation, or when exposed by excavation. Highlights the benefits, describes survey methods, standards, categorising surveys, RFID marker tags and safety systems.
