Abstract
Summarises the results of the 2014 technical consultation looking at the reforming the framework for building regulations, guidance, local codes and discretionary technical housing standards, aiming to reduce bureaucracy and costs. The consultation covered the following topic areas: access, space, nationally described space standard, security, external waste storage, considerations for adopting optional requirements, transitional arrangements and impacts.
