Abstract

Looks at how to ensure that public engagement is successful in development schemes which require planning consent. Covers the reasons why engagement is important; the principles of engagement; awareness of engagement and also how to plan for community engagement. Also covers the steps involved from the pre-application stage through the submission to decision stage and finally the construction and operation stage.
