Abstract
Summarises the responses received and presents the analysis and findings for the technical review of the 2014-15 domestic and non-domestic building standards technical handbooks. Covers a range of topics, including: thermoplastic lighting diffusers, external wall insulation, fire detection and alarm systems, dimensions of enhanced apartments, spaces for future showers in dwellings, robust walling in dwellings, customer toilet provision in small takeaways, ventilation provision in dwellings, dungsteads and farm effluent tanks, minimum door widths in dwellings, future stair lift installations in dwellings, lift access in small non-domestic buildings, noise reduction between room in a dwelling and carbon emissions. Most proposals will go ahead, with the exception of future shower provision.
