Abstract

Focuses on Silverfill cavity wall insulation, suitable for use in external masonry walls up to a maximum height of 12 metres, with nominal cavity widths of a minimum of 50 mm in domestic and non-domestic buildings. The product is an expanded polystyrene material which is injected in bead form along with a bonding agent. It can also be used in buildings over 12 metres in height where the certificate holder has issued a height restriction waiver. Assesses thermal properties, water resistance, condensation, behaviour in relation to fire and durability.
