Presents the findings of a survey of members in 2006 looking at the quality of site investigation reports, highlighting missing information, piling contracts without boreholes, inadequate topographical information, compromised geotechnical information. Recommends early involvement of geotechnical specialists, adoption of best practice guidance and good communication through the supply chain.
