Abstract

This report provides guidance for identifying and assessing risk for the vulnerable and elderly in regards to level of fire risk, and advises on systems in addition to smoke alarms that might be required, such as a personal protection system (PPS). The guidance also aids in identifying PPS candidates and includes a flowchart and checklist to help with risk assessment and actions to be taken.
