Abstract
Provides guidance for omission of warning lights from longitudinal coning of road works in relaxation schemes on dual carriageways, setting the eligibility criteria, risk assessment and withdrawal conditions.
Document History
Interim Advice Notes (IANs) are issued by Highways England from time to time. They contain specific Guidance, which shall only be used in connection with works on motorways and trunk roads in England, subject to any specific implementation instructions contained within an IAN. Whilst IANs must be read in conjunction with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW) for the above works, and may incorporate amendments or additions to documents in these manuals, they are not part of the DMRB or MCHW. Supplements and amends: TD 9/93, TD 19/06, TD 22/06, TD 27/05, TD 45/94, TD 46/05, TA 73/97, HD 20/05, IAN 143/11 and IAN 149/11.
