Aims to give a good understanding of the basics of undertaking research in day-to-day architectural practice, and how developing research specialists can contribute to the quality of a project. It has sections to help architects get involved with research across a number of sectors: from understanding the context, to what methods to use and others to collaborate with, as well as accessing funding. Case studies illustrate the links between practice and more formally articulated forms of research.
