Abstract
Explores issues in concrete production and looks to the lean design model to show there are concrete solutions for reducing embodied CO2 in buildings. Covers concrete specification, finishes, the benefits of thermal mass to reduce operational energy, enhancing fabric performance and encourage reuse and end of life and carbonation.
