Abstract
Comprises the Government's response to the consultation on surface development restrictions for hydraulic fracturing, otherwise known as 'fracking', in specified protected areas including Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs), Ramsar and Natura 2000 sites alongside national parks, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs), world heritage sites and other areas vulnerable to groundwater pollution.
