Abstract
Compares the Government Soft Landings (GSL) approach with BSRIA Soft Landings Framework, which was first developed in 2009 and last updated in 2014 (as BG 54/2014). Looking at how both projects were started, the differences and impacts they had for contracts and procurement and identifies key activities during the preparation and brief stages, concept, developed and technical design phases, construction and handover.

This document uses the old five stages which were defined in BG 54/2014 'Soft landings framework'. It has not been updated in order to reflect the six phases which are covered in BG 54/2018 'Soft landings framework 2018. Six phases for better buildings'. BSRIA Soft Landings User Group.
