Abstract
Chapter B4 of Guide B provides guidance on the generation, prediction, assessment, and control of noise and vibration in relationship to building services in order to introduce noise reduction measures at the design stage. As a whole, Guide B provides comprehensive reference material for engineers involved in the specification and design of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, ductwork, refrigeration and heat rejection, noise and vibration controls for HVAC systems. Follows the design process from concept to implementation and includes sections on strategic design decisions, design criteria, system selection, equipment and fuels.
Document History
2016 version separates Guide B into five parts (B0, B1, B2, B3, B4) plus a Combined Index. Replaces 2005 edition incorporating corrigendum issued 12 April 2016.
