Abstract
Outlines good practice on site to ensure satisfactory performance of timber components in use. Advises on correct specification of moisture content at time of installation and onsite storage to avert shrinking, distortion and staining. Presents general principles and specific guidance for storage (for example, chain of custody certified timber products, trussed rafters and timber frame panels). Suggests how to achieve care in manufacture and delivery. Advises on a building programme and recycling.
