Abstract
Sets out the Department's position on nature reserves which contribute to the protection of biodiversity and nature conservation. Covers: nature reserves in the planning process and government strategies, common core principles for National Nature Reserves (NNRs), priority habitats, rare/threatened species, climate change and management of nature reserves.
