Abstract
Using a combination of desk-based review, in-depth interviews, and an online survey, this usability report determined that while approved documents are valued and useful, improvements could be made for ease of use, clarity and future proofing as the construction industry moves toward digital. The report identifies and explores the needs of three primary user groups and provides improvement recommendations covering diagrams and pictures, simpler language, split volumes, prescriptive guidance, user-friendly navigation and functionality, and referenced documents.
