Abstract
Provides guidance for specifying and installing biofuel heating systems where the heat is transferred via low temperature hot water (LTHW) and operated at 10 bar (gauge) and 90°C. Covers types of fuel, application, combustion, delivery and storage methods, method of wood fuel transmission to appliances, connecting flue pipes, chimneys, ash disposal, buffer tanks, controls and replacement and conversion appliances. Also looks at types of appliances and their locations, storage requirements and specification, pipework and accessories, completion, testing, flushing, cleaning and water treatment.
