Explains the concept of green and blue infrastructure (GI) as a natural solution to provide ecological, economic and social benefits covering the topics of: biodiversity, health and wellbeing, air pollution, water management and local distinctiveness. Also discusses the policy context showing how GI supports the regional development strategy.
