Abstract
A review of the regulatory frameworks relating to building and fire safety has been initiated by the Scottish Government following the Grenfell Tower fire in London in June 2017. Views are being sought to determine if there are any changes needed for the standards covering fire and smoke alarms and to extend their application to ensure the protection applies to all: home owners or those who rent from a social or private landlord.
