Abstract
Provides an overview of the 'Health and safety in a changing world' programme of studies carried out by teams from the Institute of Occupational medicine, Loughborough University, Cranfield University and the Universities of Nottingham, Reading and Portsmouth during 2010 to 2015 funded by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Asks whether the public have a problem with health and safety, and also discusses: the changing landscape of occupational safety and health policy in the UK; use of knowledge in occupational safety and health; health and safety knowledge in networked organisations; engagement of smaller organisations in occupational safety and health; and safety leadership.
