Abstract
Details the characteristics, performance and test methods to be used for mobile fire extinguishers operated by people on foot. Applicable to mobile fire extinguishers that have a total mass above 20kg for powder, water based and CO2 extinguishers. Covers: description of extinguisher; requirements including operating temperatures, filling specifications, duration of operation and discharge range, retention of propellant, control valve, working position, hose and coupling, operation devices, identification, periodical checking; tests including temperature, corrosion and dielectric tests; fire performances.
