Abstract
Provides information on the processes followed when bringing forward proposals for major road development in Northern Ireland. Covers: public consultation, land liaison officer, stages in scheme development, access to land for investigative work, compensation issues, legal conveyance of land, procuring a contractor, commencement of work, accommodation works, indemnification and private arrangements between the contractor and land/property owners.
