Abstract
Provides advice on legislation, procedures and good practice in development management in Northern Ireland. Discusses the various types of planning applications and associated procedures, covering: the two tier planning system, hierarchy of developments, legislative context, pre-application stage, application stage, types of applications for planning permission, post decision actions in relation to planning approvals, other planning controls - applications for consent, and assessments which may be required to accompany a planning application.
