Abstract
Provides statutory guidance to SEPA, local authorities and Scottish Water on fulfilling their responsibilities under the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009. Also provides contextual information on how these responsibilities align with the Government's wider policy framework for improving how flood risk is managed with a sustainable approach. The 7 sections cover: understanding flood risk, catchments and coasts, flood risk management, surface water management, sustainable actions, stakeholder requirements, and delivering responsibilities collectively.
