Abstract
Sets out the requirements for using warning signs on the highway network, as detailed in the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions Regulations 2016, as amended. Establishes format, use, vehicle-activated signs, sizes, siting, mounting, backing boards, illumination, maintenance, temporary signs and working drawings. Covers: junctions, deviation of route, road narrows, two-way traffic and dual carriageway roads, hills, bridges and other structures, pedestrians, animals and farm traffic, water, road surface, road humps, low-flying aircraft, falling or fallen rocks, hazard markers, other danger, distance plates, miscellaneous hazards, slow-moving vehicles, level crossings, cycling and refuge indicator lamps.
