Abstract
Drug abuse poses a potential threat to the health and well-being of employees. Alcohol related problems can be detrimental to the individual and to an employer's operation, and can result in waste and inefficiency. The consequences, in both cases, can be a reduction in perception, concentration and awareness, which can affect the safety and welfare of afflicted persons and other employees.
