Abstract

Adopting passive safety in design encourages the promotion, prioritisation and delivery of safer roadsides. Considers the requirements of BS EN 12767:2019 and provides guidance for clear zones, performance class recommendations for products, specifying signposts to BS EN 12899, lighting columns to BS EN 40, signal poles, power supplies and electrical safety.
