Abstract
Describes the procedures required for the design and refurbishment of road tunnels located within motorways and all-purpose trunk roads. It gives guidance for planning, safety and general design, road tunnel safety, geometric design, ventilation, lighting, drainage, fire engineering, traffic control, plant monitoring, electrical power supply and distribution, tunnel service buildings and plant rooms.
