Abstract
Reflects changes in British, European and international standards. Discusses appropriate standards used in order to establish measured values of thermal transmittance (U-value) and thermal resistance (R-value) of a construction layer by numerical calculation. Focuses on calculated U-values of new building elements such as walls, roofs, floors, windows and doors.
