Abstract
Summarises the purpose and progress of the Building Safety Bill, aiming to improve building safety following the Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017. This Pre-legislative scrutiny report focusses on leaseholders and the building safety charge, establishing the Building Safety Regulator, changes within design and construction roles and responsibilities, occupation and construction products.
