Abstract
Presents the results and recommendations following a review of the safety of smart motorways conducted in 2019. Part A contains the evidence stocktake examining what smart motorways are, how they work and how the network was developed, safety data is examined and modelled with conclusions. Part B includes the action plan with next steps proposed.
