Abstract
Presents the government response to Dame Judith Hackitt's recommendations for improving fire and building safety within the planning system as new measures are introduced in Planning Gateway One. Details recent changes to legislation to ensure fire safety is considered at the planning stages for schemes with high-rise residential buildings aiming to take effect from 1 August 2021.
