Abstract
Provides guidance to communities and planning authorities on the preparation, submission and registration of Local Place Plans (LPPs). Gives the background to development of local place plans and looks at: getting ready to prepare a LPP - prepared by a community body, proposal as to the development or use of land and fulfilling the legal requirements; preparing the LPP - having regard to certain documents, setting out reasons for amending the Local Development Plan, form and content of the LPP and steps which must be taken before submitting the LPP; submitting the LPP - confirmation of the community body's status, contact details, evidence of compliance with regulation 4 of Town and Country Planning (Local Place Plans) (Scotland) Regulations 2021 (SSI 2021/353), having regard to certain plans, setting out why the Local Development Plan should be changed, community support for the LPP and copies of additional documents; registering the LPP - for the community body, for the planning authority, the LPP and decision-making.
