Abstract
Provides common rules for the design of buildings and civil engineering works in timber (solid timber, sawn, planed or in pole form, glued laminated timber or wood-based structural products, e.g. LVL) or wood-based panels jointed together with adhesives or mechanical fasteners. To meet the safety and serviceability of structures requirements as set out in BS EN 1990. Additionally this document focusses on design rules that apply to timber-concrete composite structures. Details the basis of design, materials, durability, structural analysis, limit states, connections, detailing and execution.
